Europe Tour
Information regarding the 2001 European tour
for the Americana teams.
Last summer (2001) we traveled to France, Denmark and Sweden.
We had two teams. A
U-19 girls' team and a U-19 boys' team.
The results were as follows:
U-19 girls - Denmark: 1st place
U-19 girls - Sweden: 1/4 finals
International news (August 2002):
We will be accepting requests from U-19 Boys teams who would like to participate in the
Friendship Cup on August 10-11 or August 17-18, 2002.
We will accept 6 teams. Those teams willing to be considered should demonstrate track records
that are up to the challenge, or for teams formed for these particular tournaments
a track record of its players should be provided, as our two international guests will be
Real Madrid from Spain and Roma from Italy.
These teams traditionally participate in the Dallas cup,
but this year they chose a different venue.
The idea behind this is to begin a series of top quality short tournaments during the summer
including teams of the highest level such as these two visiting us this year.
In the upcoming years we will bring to Connecticut teams such as Bayern Munchen,
Inter from Milan, Milano, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Paris St. Germain,
Valencia, Lazio, Juventus and others of such category.
We have established a partnership with Markentime Enterprises who has the contract
with this high level teams.
